Therapy has evolved from a taboo conversation point to something that people talk about more openly. Social media has played a huge part in that movement and has allowed psychologists and therapists to reach and help a greater audience by sharing tips online and offering a listening ear. The virtual nature of 2020 proved that teletherapy is a good solution when in-person appointments aren’t possible. Lucky for Hudson and Essex County residents, Lukin Center, a psychotherapy practice with locations in North Jersey, is open for both in-person and virtual appointments so everyone can have access to an expert mental health professional. Its newest location in Montclair {located at 51 Upper Montclair Plaza Suite 27} is set to open this month to make getting the help you need that much easier for the Essex County community. Keep reading to learn more about the psychotherapy practice and the exclusive offer for Montclair Girl readers.

Client-Centered Care at Lukin Center

The Ivy at Chatham

The Lukin Center for Psychotherapy was founded in 2012 by Dr. Konstantin Lukin and Dr. Paula Yanes-Lukin. They have offices in five convenient northern New Jersey locations including Montclair, Hoboken, Jersey City, Ridgewood, and Englewood.

The mental health professionals at Lukin Center specialize in:

  • Individual Therapy
  • Couples Counseling
  • Child/Adolescent Treatment
  • Medication Management
  • Neuropsychological Evaluations

This year the practice is expanding into Montclair, which means Lukin Center will be able to offer a seamless psychotherapy experience for individuals, couples, and families for the Essex County community. While the practice offers therapy, medication management, and neuropsychological evaluations one of the key elements at the Lukin Center is the customized care available so patients can work with their clinician to develop a treatment plan that works for them.

There are 15 therapists involved in the day-to-day operations at Lukin Center who all work together to create an inviting atmosphere where clients can feel comfortable getting the help they need. Clinicians currently based out of the Montclair office include Elizabeth Palumbo, Geoffrey Hillback, and Jessyka Venchkoski. The Lukin Center also recently added Toni Manzione to its team as the senior outreach manager at each location, including Montclair.

Geoffrey specializes in assisting clients through a wide range of challenges from aging and life changes to mood disorders, anxiety, male issues, and anger management and has significant experience working with adolescents, individuals, couples, and families.

Meet Jessyka Venchkoski, LCSW

She is specialized in treating individuals with trauma histories, anxiety and mood disorders, personality disorders, relationship conflict, and family discord. Jessyka is passionate about helping individuals and families develop insight into their struggles while building upon their strengths to ultimately help them lead happier and more connected lives.

Meet Toni Manzione, LCSW

In addition to being an effective therapist, Toni Manzione will also be Lukin Center’s outreach manager. As the outreach manager, Toni will act as the liaison with the community to continue and develop working relationships with outside providers. The overarching goal is to provide local communities with education and services regarding mental health while expanding the Lukin Center as a referral source.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

This month is celebrated as Mental Health Awareness Month and as such, Dr. Lukin is encouraging everyone to make their mental health a priority.

“Everyone would benefit from prioritizing their mental health as they would any other health issue. It is so important to be aware of the different types of mental health services that are available,” Dr. Lukin told Montclair Girl. “Each person is different, with individual needs. Some people benefit from medication management and therapy together, some only want one or the other. We can make recommendations but you are always in control of which services you receive.”

Appointments are currently available virtually AND in-person so you can get the help you need in a way that you are most comfortable. Lukin Center has offices in multiple locations across northern New Jersey so no matter where you are in the area, there is an office close by if you would prefer to see a therapist in person.

If you or your loved one are ready to connect with a team of compassionate professionals, The Lukin Center is ready to work with you on customizing a treatment plan which means clients can choose what route they would like to take regarding therapy, medication management, and neuropsychological evaluations.

“We strive to provide patients with an atmosphere where they can achieve mental health and personal development milestones, utilizing the latest evidence-based treatments and therapies,” Dr. Lukin said. “Clients can receive help with therapy, medication management, and get evaluated all within the same space, making the entire process as easy as possible. The streamlined coordination we offer at Lukin Center sets us apart from other practices.”

Once the office receives your information, Dr. Lukin will contact you personally to discuss your goals for therapy and match you with a clinician who has the right expertise and approach to help you achieve the results you want.
