Tucked away on a side street, a luxury cafe-meets-flower shop opened two years ago in Bloomfield, New Jersey — and we got a peek into the space. Located at 75 Washington Street in Bloomfield, New Jersey, Casa De Flora Bar is owned by floral designer Maritza Walton who describes the venue as “an upscale space [with] beautiful ceiling pink floral installs and gorgeous Instagrammable moments.” Here’s more about this cafe + DIY flower bar, Casa De Flora, in Bloomfield.
About the Space + Menu
We got a chance to visit Casa de Flora Bar in 2022, and weren’t disappointed. It’s a small space, but cozy + intimate — florals adorn the walls and ceilings, and every detail is thought of to perfection.

On the menu, there are lattes, cappuccinos, coffees, Espresso, lemonade refreshers, cronuts, cupcakes, salads, sandwiches, and of course — fresh flowers. For those looking for allergy-friendly options, the cafe has non-dairy milk.
Its lattes are delicious, and the cafe is known for its cronuts (a twist on a croissant x doughnut). We opted for the apple cinnamon, and it was the ideal choice — stuffed with tons of apples.
There is wifi and space to work from home, which is a definite upgrade to florals and good vibes from the four walls of our homes.
The space also doubles as a venue for bachelorette parties, baby showers, and more. The space also sells everyday floral gifts for all occasions, according to Maritza, but the real claim to fame and namesake is the flower bar — fresh flowers for you to make your own bouquet!
Guests can also attend “Sip + Clip” events: a combo of delicious pastries and coffee or wine to accompany your DIY floral creations.
The space is open Monday, Wednesday, + Thursday from 9AM to 3PM, closed on Tuesday, open on Fridays from 9AM to 6PM, and open on weekends from 8AM to 5PM. These hours are during the winter season and more info can be found here.
