The arrival of September and the beginning of autumn can be beautiful and tranquil — but it can also lead to anxiety, stress, and tension as the winter months creep closer. The end of summer means the end of summer Fridays and vacation time, leading to more stressful work weeks. If you are having trouble staying focused and relaxing, meditation can help you find and maintain calmness even in the busiest and most stressful times. Luckily, we’ve rounded up some great meditation classes in Northern New Jersey to help foster mindfulness as the weather changes. Read on to learn where to find meditation classes in North Jersey.
Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi | Multiple Locations
Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi aims to teach fitness holistically with classes ranging from yoga, tai chi, meditation, and breathwork. Both the beginner and advanced virtual meditation classes can help you activate your “chi” and feel in tune with the world. If you’ve never taken a class before, you can sign up for an introductory session for $20. If you prefer in-person classes, you can find them at the Closter, Ridgefield, and Wyckoff locations.
Dharmachakra Buddhist Center | Millburn Mall 2933, Vauxhall Road, Vauxhall
The center offers classes, retreats, and special events for learning about Buddhism or deepening your spiritual practice. You can also sign up for its four-session Meditation: Beyond Mindfulness class at the South Orange Middle School library beginning November 18th.
