Kreme + Krumbs might have just opened in Montclair last summer, but the business has been in Essex County even longer than that. This female and Black-owned ice cream shop first opened its doors in Bloomfield in 2017. Millburn Deli

Millburn Deli opened in 1946 just a few towns south of Montclair. It has two more locations: Morristown and Westfield and two years ago Millburn Deli made its way to Park Street in Montclair. Established in 2014 by Leo and Denise Sawadogo, the Montclair Brewery has been brewing up sour, fruity, crisp, and malty beer and has won awards ever since. It also offer shard seltzer and slushies. Montclair Brewery is open five days a week from Wednesday to Sunday. Beer lovers can find these drinks at its storefront in Montclair as well as at certain Fairchilds Market, Bottle King, Shoprite, and Whole Foods locations. Montclair History Center | 108-110 Orange Road

Montclair History Center features two historic homes: the Crane and Historic YWCA House and the Nat Crane House. The organization’s gift shop is located in the Nat Crane House and features a plethora of Montclair books, Montclair-themed items, postcards of local sites, cups, bags, and more. The Crane and Historic YWCA House is open on Sundays from 12PM-3PM for self-guided tours. The gift shop is open during this period as well.

Paper Plane Coffee Co. might just be Montclair’s most Instagrammable cafe. This venue feels like the inside of an airplane but without the long TSA lines and lack of legroom. Drinks on the menu include hot and cold options like tea, lattes, and coffee. Paper Plane Coffee Co. has an energetic interior with bright colors and the merch is just as aesthetic.
