For those looking to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in traditional Irish style, there are plenty of local spots where you can find a wide variety of dishes. From traditional meals like corned beef and cabbage to desserts and drinks with a festive twist, these local eateries will satisfy any craving for a taste of the Emerald Isle. Cloverleaf Tavern I 95 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell

This neighborhood gathering spot is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all week with an Irishman’s Brunch, which includes Irish soda bread french toast served with Irish whiskey butter, green beer, a Guinness burger, lamb stew, and more. They will also have a wide array of traditional and craft favorites on draft. On the holiday itself, bagpipes will be strolling through the pub all day.

Egan + Sons I 118 Walnut St, Montclair

Irish dishes are a mainstay on the menu of this local gastropub. You’ll find Irish Toasties, made with bacon, cheese, red onion, tomato, and Thousand Island dressing, and fish and chips served with mushy peas and malt vinegar. For St. Paddy’s, they added a corned beef sandwich on rye, and a traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner. They’ll have the Heritage Irish Dance Company and The Counterfeiters on hand for entertainment.

Obal’s Inn I 439 Broad St, Bloomfield

College students and residents flock here for the lively atmosphere and selection of draft beers, bottled beer, spirits, and wines. To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, they are serving all-you-can-eat corned beef platters and sandwiches, along with drink specials. There will also be giveaways and bagpiper performances.

Sarah’s Kitchen I Bloomfield

Looking for a festive dessert to put out at your St. Paddy’s Day dinner? This local, small business will be making some yummy sweets to help you celebrate. In addition to traditional Irish soda bread, you can order Irish Cream brownies, topped with homemade Irish cream flavored frosting, and Italian knot cookies with green frosting and sprinkles.

Six Points Pub I 574 Bloomfield Ave, Bloomfield

This fun and casual restaurant will be serving traditional Irish dishes all day on St. Patrick’s Day, like corned beef platters and sandwiches, along with unique drinks to wash them down.  Enjoy specialty cocktails like an Irish Thin Mint or The Lucky Six; Jameson shots, or a pint of green beer. Bagpipers will play between 3-5PM.

If you are planning your own St. Patrick’s Day celebration, this full-service caterer and events boutique can help you set the perfect table for your guests. Options include Guinness Stout beef stew, served with garlic bread and an Irish salad; grasshopper brownies; and a Guinness Stout chocolate cake topped with Bailey’s Irish Cream frosting.

This bakery is known for its savory and sweet British pies and groceries imported from the U.K. It is turning its attention – and menu – to Ireland by offering a selection of tasty eats. You’ll find a corned beef and cabbage dinner for two; lamb, Guinness, and barley soup; and maple bacon and smoked gouda scones.

The new hotspot is known for its creative twists on classic bar food. For St. Patrick’s Day, you’ll find shepherd’s pie potato skins, colcannon perogies in spinach pasta, steak and porter pie with Guinness gravy, and shamrock shake cheesecake parfaits.
