St. Patrick’s Day is almost here and it is time to start planning for the festivities. From parades and celebrations to special classes and themed trivia, there is a variety of things to do in North Jersey. Read on for a list of St. Patrick’s Day events happening in the Montclair and North Jersey area.

March 9th — Out at Night’s Shamrock Shindig Hosted by Out Montclair at Tierney’s Tavern | 138 Valley Road, Montclair

Socialize at Out at Night over drink specials, a “Best Green Garb” competition, special games, and other activities. This event starts at 7PM. Learn more here.

March 10th — Newark St. Patrick’s Day Parade | Southeast Corner of Mulberry Street + Raymond Boulevard, Newark

This parade starts at 1PM and features marching bands, bagpipers, dancers, and various cultural and community groups. Learn more here.

March 12th — Second Sunday Concert Series — “Tribute to Irish Music” at Van Vleck House + Gardens | 21 Van Vleck Street, Montclair

“Tribute to Irish Music” features Robert Cart on flute and Regina Dimedio Marrazza on piano, and starts at 2PM. Learn more here.

March 13th — 70th Annual West Orange St. Patrick’s Day Parade | Mount Pleasant Avenue + Main Street, West Orange

This parade starts at 12:15PM and features Pipe Bands, high school bands, Irish Step Dancing Schools, and local and national groups marching in the parade. Learn more here.

March 12th — The Jersey City St. Patrick’s Day Parade | Jersey City

This event starts at 1PM.

March 12th — United Irish Associations of West Hudson St. Patrick’s Day Parade | Harrison, Kearny, + East Newark

This event starts at 1PM and runs between the municipal buildings in Harrison and Kearny while passing through East Newark. Learn more here.

March 12th — 41st Annual Bergen County St. Patrick’s Day Parade | Washington Avenue, Bergenfield

This event starts at 2PM and is run by The Council of Irish Associations of Greater Bergen County. Learn more here.

March 14th — The Office: St. Paddy’s Day Trivia at Bareburger | 480 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day in Scranton, and everyone’s invited. This event starts at 7:30PM. Learn more here.

March 15th — St. Patrick’s Day Cookie Decorating Class at The MC Hotel Hosted by The Eclectic Chic Boutique | 690 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair

Learn how to decorate fun-shaped cookies from a professional cookie decorator and baker. The event starts at 6PM and a ticket includes one house cocktail, wine, or beer, as well as parking. Learn more here.

March 17th-March 19th — St. Patrick’s Day Irie Fest at Montclair Brewery | 101 Walnut Street, Montclair

March 17th — The 2023 Jersey City One Block Parade Hosted by The OLC School | Montgomery Street, Jersey City
