Bloomfield Center has come a long way in the last decade. With new shops, restaurants, and more, there is much to do and explore around every corner. This fall, an Italian delicacy shop will open at 308 Glenwood Avenue, called Bacio Nero. Bacio Nero is an Italian franchise, and it will be part of the Bloomfield community soon. The primary location is based in Palermo, Sicily. Each franchise location focuses on one of the following formats: gourmet yogurt, coffee and cake, ice cream, and Italian pasta.

A franchise for Bacio Nero has been an international quest. Franchise expansion has been in the works for a while. In 2018, expansion began in the following countries: Italy, England, Spain, France, Morocco, Ivory Coast, and Senegal. Countries added to this franchise are the US, Armenia, a second store in Guinea, and the Island of Reunion.

According to the company’s Facebook page, the Bacio Nero franchise opening in Bloomfield is listed as a coffee shop. The page is relatively new with some “coming soon” content posted as recently as June 30th of this year.
According to the store’s location listings, one more location will be coming soon to Newark, New Jersey as well.
Menu Options
Menu options include sweet or savory croissants. Sweet flavors include white chocolate and pistachio. Savory flavors include olive, tuna, and smoked swordfish. There are also traditional Italian cookies available with flavors like hazelnuts and tartufi varieties.

Regardless of the weather, Bacio Nero has options for every season including creative hot chocolate in cooler months, and ice cream options to cool off in summer months. Hot chocolate creations include coconut, orange, and pistachio along with some classics like dark and white chocolate. Ice cream options include melon, pistachio, and coffee. There are also specialty coffee and crepes on the menu.
In addition to unique menu options, Bacio Nero keeps the Italian classics like tiramisu, stracciatella, and Italian pasta. Pasta options may include Bolognese, Genovese, Ravioli, and Fagottini 4 cheeses.

The Bloomfield location is coming soon and will be located at 308 Glenwood Avenue. This will make it part of The Shops at Bloomfield Station. It is scheduled to be placed next to a PharmD RX.
