About Three Daughters Baking Co.

Pastry Chef Erica Leah has an extensive resume – even before starting her own business. She worked for star chefs Daniel Boulud, Karen DeMasco, and Tom Colicchio, and was a Pastry Chef at two successful restaurants. But the grind took too much time away from her three daughters (hence the name of the bakery), and so Erica decided to leave the restaurant industry so she could be closer to home. As a mom of three girls, it felt important to demonstrate the value of hard work and community, which she has now found in Three Daughters Bakery.

The Ivy at Chatham

When Erica sent out an email to friends and family offering to bake holiday desserts for Thanksgiving, she got a solid response. Turns out people were interested in her desserts and wanted more. Many holidays and celebration cakes later, Three Daughters Bakery set up inside Garden State Kitchen — a food business incubator. Next, they moved to their first retail shop inside of General Store Cooperative, which allowed them to share space without the burden of a full property. This micro community allowed Erica to test her business and spread her wings, all while being supported by friends and neighbors.

Three Daughters offers custom cake orders for all of your celebrations. Choose your size, flavor, fillings, and even your preferred frosting to get a cake of your dreams.

Not sure what to order? Here are some of our fave picks:

Cinnamon Graham Crackers

If these graham crackers are the only thing you buy from Three Daughters, you will not be disappointed. These thin, cracking crackers are sprinkled in sugar and don’t dissolve when you dunk them in hot tea. They’re great as a snack, but we promise they won’t last long. Ours barely survived the car ride home.

Lemon Bars

Not-too-sweet and with a strong lemony zing, these lemon bars are exceptional. It’s a hard balance to find a lightness to something so flavorful, but these take the cake. The perfect bite to enjoy with tea or during a coronation party.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Tarts

Chocolate and peanut butter is a highly underrated combination, and Erica executes the combo so well. The crumbly chocolate crust melts in your mouth with a smooth peanut butter filling. It’s so good that we’re thinking of going to get some more for the weekend.
