Where to Watch the 4th of July Fireworks in Montclair + Beyond

If you missed last year’s annual celebration due to COVID-19, fret not, as this year Essex County will be celebrating again! Montclair Girl has gathered a list of places in Essex County where you can partake in the annual 4th of July celebrations and firework show. Keep reading to check out where to watch the Fourth of July firework shows in Essex County.

Independence Day Celebration | Brookdale Park

There will be an Independence Day celebration on July 1st at Brookdale Park in Essex County. There will be fireworks, as well as a concert held by the Infernos. The celebration will begin at 7:30PM. Keep in mind that the annual 4th of July parade held at Edgemont Park is canceled due to Covid. Learn more about it here.

Essex County Fireworks Spectacular | Weequahic Park

Enjoy the free summer concert series that includes a performance by “Smooth” at 7:30PM in Weequahic Park in Newark, followed by a fireworks show. Learn more about it here.

Cedar Grove Annual Fireworks | Panther Park

Enjoy a great fireworks display at Panther Park in Cedar Grove on July 1st, gates will open at 7PM and the show will begin at dusk. While waiting for the fireworks show, take part in making crafts with the Cedar Grove library staff, enjoy the music from the live DJ, or have some fun with a balloon artist. Please note that no camping chairs or food will be allowed on the turf. Learn more here.

Fairfield Independence Day Celebration | Fairfield Recreation Complex

The celebration starts at 5:30PM on June 30th, food will be available to purchase. There will also be DJ music which will start around 7:30PM, followed by the fireworks display to go off at 9PM. Learn more here.

Maplewood Light Show Spectacular | Memorial Park

First enjoy the light show spectacular on both concert stages which will then be followed by the fireworks display at 9.25PM. Learn more here.

Millburn-Short Hills 4th of July | Millburn High School Football Field

Take part in a full day of fun by viewing the flag-raising at 9AM on July 4th at Taylor Park, then some fun activities like scavenger hunts, magicians, and chalk decorating at 10AM. The fireworks display will be held at the Millburn High School Football Field and will start at 9PM but doors will open at 7PM. There will be a DJ as well as food and ice cream trucks. Verona Fireworks | Verona Community Center

Enjoy the beautiful fireworks display Verona has to offer on June 30th at 7PM at the Verona Community Center. The rain date for the event is July 1st. Learn more here.

West Essex Fireworks | James Caldwell High School Baseball Field

Gates will be opening at 7PM with entertainment being provided by DJ Danny Duca. The firework show will begin at dusk. Rain date for this event will be July 5th. Learn more here.

West Orange 4th of July Celebration | West Orange High School

Before enjoying the fireworks at dusk on July 4th, take part in the annual food truck festival at Conforti Field in the West Orange High School from 1PM-9PM. There will only be blankets allowed on the field for the fireworks display. Learn more here.
