Out Montclair invites everyone to come eat, drink, groove, and “be your fabulous self” at its inaugural Spring Fling dance party on Thursday, March 31st. The event will showcase a collection of local Montclair businesses featuring products and services. It is also a fun and lighthearted fundraiser leading up to Out Montclair’s first-ever LGBTQIA+ Pride Festival happening in June. The event will be held at 18 Label Studios, located at 18 Label Street in Montclair. Read on to learn more about the Spring Fling, some details of the Pride Festival, and more.
About the Event
The Spring Fling will be happening at 18 Label Studios, located at 18 Label Street and near Walnut Street in Montclair. It will run from 6PM-10PM, and is limited to those aged 21 and up. The event will take place in partnership with Out Montclair and Moses Olivia + Associates, and is being managed by Joni Bronander of Events by Joni, and The Montclair Girl is the media sponsor.
“Spring is here and after these last two years, I’m ready to dance,” said Out Montclair Founder + President Peter Yacobellis. “I’m so proud of all the work Out Montclair does in the community with educational events and community building for LGBTQIA+ teens and seniors. I’m really looking forward to Montclair Pride on June 11th, 2022. The Spring Fling is just one of the many ways we’re raising funds to pay for stages, talent, security, clean-up, and all of the other services that go into putting on a major event in downtown Montclair. I’m thankful to all of our really fun sponsors and partners. Come dance, have some fun, and support a good cause too.”

Tickets for the March 31st event range from $45 to $125, and include a full catering spread with hors d’oeuvres, dessert, beer, wine, specialty cocktails, and more. General admission tickets cost $60, premium tickets cost $125, and a limited quantity of tickets for young professionals/those with hardships cost $45 – all can be found here.
Gift bags will be supplied for premium ticket holders and will include a variety of products from local shops like Jones Road Beauty, Paper Plane Coffee Co., Good Bottle Refill Shop, and more. Other products and vendors participating include cheese and charcuterie platters from Van Hook Cheese + Grocery, pizza made on-site by Brick + Dough, wine from Egan + Sons, and desserts from Little Daisy Bakeshop. Live music will be provided by DJ Steve Sidewalk.
About Pride Festival
The first-ever Montclair Pride Festival will take place on Saturday, June 11th from 12PM-6PM in downtown Montclair. The monumental event will include performances from Broadway stars, local and national singers, appearances from local dignitaries, an entire stage dedicated to family-friendly programming, and a Montclair Pride Concert at The Wellmont Theater. In addition, The Montclair Girl will be the main stage sponsor.
