As summer 2022 kicks off, we want to share that our team will be taking a break for a little over a week — June 30th – July 11th. As always, we are eternally grateful for you — our audience. There’s nothing we love more than creating fun, engaging, + meaningful content, and your loyalty enables us to do so.

These have been a challenging couple of years, and recent happenings in our country have only contributed to stressful and uncertain times. Now more than ever, it is essential to occasionally disconnect, take a step back, and practice some self care.

Our out of office messages are going up starting tomorrow, June 30th; our DMs will have an auto reply; and we’ll be a bit off the grid through Monday, July 11th. We’ll be back with regular content on the week of the 11th — and we’ll be sharing some archive articles and other fun content throughout the week in the meantime. You’re welcome to send us tips at any time to hello@themontclairgirl.com + @themontclairgirl — but they’ll most likely be read upon our return.

Most media outlets continue to publish throughout the year, even through holidays, but we are taking a decisive stance to pause our in-house work to recoup and enjoy some R&R.

Hopefully this is also the sign you needed to know that it’s okay to take a break. It’s so important to recharge, especially in such tumultuous times. We are all burnt out. Watch that reality show, read that book, clean that closet, get that vitamin D outside, take a day trip — whatever makes you feel refreshed and rejuvenated.

In the meantime, we’ve got you covered with some articles to get you through our break. If you’re looking for where to see July 4th fireworks in Essex + Bergen counties, click here — and for those looking to travel to Hudson County, Flo Rida will be headlining Jersey City’s July Fourth Celebration. For anyone planning out their summer gardens, we rounded up the best garden, plant shops, and nurseries in North Jersey. Here are some volunteering opportunities in Essex County this summer. And what’s better than a summer farmers market? We have the full list of North Jersey farmers market for you to visit all summer long.

We want you to know how much we appreciate every DM, comment, share, like, read, and email — it’s what keeps us going. Have a wonderful, safe, and healthy start to July — and we’ll see you very soon!
