Love is in the air, and as Valentine’s Day approaches, Montclair and the surrounding Essex County area are prepping for the upcoming festivities. Whatever type of celebration is in order this year, there are many Montclair and Essex County businesses with special offerings for Valentine’s Day. February 2nd — Valentine Greeting Card Making at The Eclectic Chic Boutique | 547 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair
This is a free card-making workshop just in time for Valentine’s Day. Guests of all levels of crafting experience are welcome to join. Each participant will have the chance to make two Valentine’s Day greeting cards with envelopes.
February 7th — Babe’s Galentine’s Day Networking Party at Porta | 499 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair
From 7PM to 10PM, Babes in Business is hosting its first-ever networking event at Porta’s Montclair location. This event is for women who are looking to network, connect, and grow their businesses. There will be local vendors, selfie stations, a discussion panel, group activities, and music. Tickets and registration for this event can be found here.

February 13th — Galentine’s Day Happy Hour at The Fox + Falcon | 19 Valley Street, South Orange
From 4PM to 10PM, grab your best friends or make new ones at this happy hour event. There will be drink specials to celebrate Galentine’s Day.
February 14th — Valentine’s Day Couples’ Pinot + Pottery at Express Yourself Studios, LLC | 1877 Springfield Avenue, Maplewood
For a creative date idea, couples can take on a Valentine’s Day-themed class. Express Yourself Studios, LLC. welcomes guests to bring their bottles of wine and create unique vases, pots, or other pieces.
February 14th — Winning Wednesdays: Valentine’s Day Taproom Trivia at Montclair Brewery | 101 Walnut Street, Montclair
Hosted by DJ No Requests, this weekly Montclair Brewery event will be making trivia questions about romantic-comedy movies, love songs, and Valentine’s Day origins.
February 16th — Sip ‘n’ Sing at Vanguard Theatre |
From 7PM to 8PM, guests are welcome to join a Valentine’s Day celebration with costume prizes, raffles, drinks, and food while enjoying a night of dancing.
February 16th — Galentine’s Ladies Night at La Bella Cafe | 553 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona
Guests will have the chance to participate in Valentine’s Day-themed games, sip on mocktails, and munch on treats like a sweet version of a charcuterie board. Tickets cost $45 per person.
Dinners
Brick + Dough | 110 Walnut Street, Montclair
Chef Chris Pietrowicz from Brick + Dough will be hosting a food tasting “beyond the pizza” on Valentine’s Day— but don’t worry, pizza will still be making an appearance, served alongside other dishes. Learn more here.
Fanny’s Italian | 1109 Broad Street, Bloomfield
Fanny’s welcomes guests on Valentine Day’s evening for a night of food featuring a pre-fix menu. The regular menu will also be available. Reservations can be made here.
Faubourg | 544 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair
French brasserie Faubourg will serve a special four-course $85 prix fixe menu per person. Faubourg’s full dinner menu and holiday specials (yet to be announced) will be available.
il Vecchio Cafe | 234 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell
There will be two dining options available at Il Vecchio Cafe this Valentine’s Day. There will be a takeout and dine-in choice. For takeout, orders must be placed by February 11th which features appetizers, entrees, and desserts. If dining in, a three-course prix fixe menu will be served for $70 per person. Learn more here.

Luna Stella | 5 Highland Place, Maplewood
On Valentine’s Day, there will be multiple dinner seatings available. Guests will have the chance to enjoy a $95 four-course prix fixe menu per person. Reservations can be made here.

Halcyon | 114 Walnut Street, Montclair
On the weekends, Halcyon is serving up the cocktail tower of our dreams. Called “The French Kiss Martini Tree,” the tower is adorned with roses and an adorable plush heart that reads “Be Mine” (challenge accepted). Available on Saturday and Sunday at brunch 11:30AM – 3PM, the martini tree makes for a perfect Galentine’s brunch.
