Before it became a wedding venue, it was a residential mansion built in the 1800s by the architect who designed the original Madison Square Garden. Maplewood

The Maplewood Club is on the smaller side of the venues in Essex County but a prime spot to host your wedding nonetheless. This venue can accommodate 130 seated guests or up to 220 guests for a standing cocktail event in the clubhouse. While TMC does not do any catering themselves, the venue has a full prep kitchen and can have any licensed caterer brought in for your event. With your rental, you have access to the entire inside of the clubhouse as well as the outdoor tables overlooking the tennis courts.

Montclair

Built in 1902 as a private home for Charles Van Vleck, The Georgian Inn was converted into a residential hotel in the 1940s. At this time, the Montclair branch of the French Institute Alliance Française relocated its New Jersey headquarters to the Queen Anne carriage house in the back. In 2008, the historic buildings were granted landmark status and in 2012, after it was purchased by Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker, the hotel underwent a full renovation. The George Inn boasts 31 expertly designed rooms with each room curated in a distinct style and a ton of in-house amenities.
