The Owner

Franchise owner Kimberly Moye is a West Orange resident and is a mom to three kids. She described the process of waiting for the bakery to open as similar to waiting the last few months before your child is born.

It feels that there’s so much to be done and the day won’t ever arrive. But all of those moments are fleeting and the real challenges lay ahead once our bakery is “born.” So I suppose, for now, I’m simply looking to open our doors,” she said.

The History

Nothing Bundt Cakes is a franchise that specializes in bundt cakes with a signature cream cheese frosting. Cakes can be customized for any occasion from holiday parties to birthdays and anniversaries. “Nothing Bundt Cakes is a simple concept, but it’s much more than that. We hope to bring joy and smile to each guest that comes through our doors,” Moyle said.

The company was founded by two women, Dena Trip and Debbie Shwetz, in 1997. Ever since going into business together, Nothing Bundt Cakes has strived to provide customers with delicious cakes made with top-notch ingredients. Now, Nothing Bundt Cakes has expanded across the country, including six other locations across New Jersey.

The Atmosphere

All of the Nothing Bundt Cake shops play off of the homey feeling of being in your mom’s or your best friend’s kitchen. Inspired by the company’s home-kitchen roots, the interior emphasizes a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

Cakes are displayed upfront in a traditional bakery case. The shop aims to be a place where you can stop in for a quick sweet treat while you are out running errands, or your go-to spot for when you need to order a custom cake for a big event.
