For those who love sports, coffee, and a great place to hang out, the Joe Zone in Cedar Grove hopes to provide all of that. Opening July 7th, Joe Zone is a sports-themed coffee bar with fast-casual dining – a truly unique experience. Read on to learn more about Joe Zone opening soon in Cedar Grove.
Owners Tom Manoli and Donna Marki have been working on the concept of a sports-themed coffee bar for several years. “Sports are the common denominator in our lives,” Marki said. “Even if we’re not athletes, we watch it, and we may not watch it. But then we may have kids who play it. Some are watching it because of them. So it’s just in all of our lives and everything we do.”
All Sports Fans Welcome
From the moment you walk into Joe Zone, you will be surrounded by sports. From the photos of athletes on the walls to the basketball hoop-shaped snack bins, there is a section of that cafe for every kind of sports fan.
On the menu will be your standard coffee beverages, from regular coffee to lattes. There are breakfast sandwiches and wraps for the morning crowd, along with breakfast pastries like muffins and scones.
For those stopping in for lunch, dinner, or a night out to watch the big game, there will be sandwiches, salads, burgers, and wings to enjoy. Their MVP burger, buffalo chicken flatbread, spontaneous combustion wings, and Nashville hot chicken sandwich make for the perfect game day foods.
“We really want to create a space where they are having so much fun they don’t want to leave,” Marki said. “We want people to come here and feel like they are part of a community.”
Taking Part in the Community
The emphasis on community is highlighted by the store’s “Joe Zone Hall of Famer” program that will highlight a community member on a bi-monthly basis with a profile on the selected recipient who will receive a customized Joe Zone jersey. Members of the community, from those who are passionate about community service to the kid who has been on the team but doesn’t get much playing time.
“We want to know who you are. And we want you to know that you matter, you have value and that other people know it takes, takes a team to do it. And not just a bunch of individuals who have their own mission.” Marki said.

The tables are also outfitted with wireless charging stations, along with standard plugs for laptops and tablets, making it a great spot to work remotely. And you will be able to order your coffee or food to your table with The Joe Zone Rewards App.
