Not long after World of 5 D art gallery opened in Montclair, Millburn is getting a brand new art gallery of its own. The J Núñez Gallery is owned by none other than well-known international chef and visual artist Jesús Núñez. The new gallery features original abstract paintings made from high-quality materials that complement a wide range of tastes and styles that are one-of-a-kind. The gallery is set to open on November 10th located at 343 Millburn Avenue. Read on to learn more about the newest addition to the North Jersey art scene.

“Over the past year, I had gotten to the point where I knew I needed to expand my art outside of my home studio. I am very ambitious, and I wanted a serious place to showcase my art, Jesús told New Jersey Isn’t Boring in 2019 about the future opening of his gallery.

Aside from showcasing his own vibrant, textured, and layered artwork, he has curated works from established and up-and-coming local artists. In fact, even the gallery’s bathroom is decked out in stunning artwork, check out the tour of it below:

Jesús plans to create ties within the community by collaborating with local organizations. Throughout the year the gallery will host events and art exhibitions open to the public.

The current collections for sale include Purity, which is described as wanting to express to the audience a very simple idea that nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect. “This collection is a different kind of look, a different kind of mindset,” explains artist Sir Treze via the site, “It’s the true acceptance of finding beauty in things as they are.” Put simply, this art gives you permission to be yourself.”

Another collection titled Balance is described as such, “In nature, everything you see coexists together in a delicate balance. In the same way, the contrasts of different curves and shapes united by a careful use of color gives this collection a sense of wanting to be heard, to be seen, and to blur the boundaries of what constitutes art. These paintings are heavily influenced by graffiti, the artist’s background.”
