Earlier this year, Envy by Melissa Gorga opened its second location in Ridgewood. The expansion came after founder and Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga celebrated her namesake store’s sixth anniversary in Montclair. While the Ridgewood location was initially believed to be a second location for Envy, it has now been confirmed that the fashion boutique is relocating to the Bergen County town instead. Coming to Ridgewood

On January 26th, Melissa shared the news of Envy’s new Ridgewood storefront during Lala Kent’s “Give Them Lala” podcast. The reality star gushed about Envy’s growth over the past six years before revealing the shop’s success in Montclair flagship store, led to the decision to open a second one.

The Ivy at Chatham

“They (the RHONJ fans) watched me kind of break through and work my way up and raise these kids, and now I turned 40. So for the last 10 years, they’ve been watching me go from just a mom at home all this time into a businesswoman where I did open Envy and I broke through that, and now I’m opening a second Envy. A second Envy double the size is about to open next month, so that’s huge for me,” she said.

Melissa went on to say, “The second location is in Ridgewood, NJ, which is a great town over here. My online store is phenomenal everyone [is shopping] from California, Florida, Dallas, everywhere. My brick and mortar [shop] is doing so well too so I’m opening one double the size now and [I’m] super, super excited. I’m like, ‘I’m either crazy or we’ll see,’ but no, I like a challenge. I’ve always been a worker, that is me.”

At this time neither Envy by Melissa Gorga nor Melissa herself has made a public announcement about the closure of the Montclair location. An employee of the Ridgewood location, however, confirmed to The Montclair Girl that Envy has “relocated to Ridgewood.”Customers can find the new location at 7 E Ridgewood Ave.

About Envy By Melissa Gorga

Envy celebrated the grand opening of its Montclair location on January 14, 2016. Bravo cameras were often spotted there over the years, including when Melissa remodeled the space for the red carpet opening party, which featured her cast mates. Viewers will likely still get to watch Melissa working at Envy, however, the setting will now be in Ridgewood.

Anyone who follows Melissa on social media knows that she loves to inspire other women. She often posts pictures wearing something from Envy, which will make her fans want to wear the same thing.

“I love clothes. I’ve always loved fashion. Fashion is fun for me. I’m always the one that everyone used to call my girlfriends, like if they don’t know what to wear, I’ll put an outfit together for them,” Melissa said during the podcast. “You’d wear [these clothes] and everyone’s like, ‘Where did you get your outfit?’ and I would send them to that boutique, I would send them over there, and I’m like, ‘What the hell am I doing? Why am I sending them to everyone else? Let me open my own boutique and when everyone asks me what I’m wearing, I’m going to say here, click this link Envybymg.com.’ And that’s how Envy by Melissa Gorga came.”

“My sales on my website when I first started were nothing like they are now. I quadrupled them. It takes time, it takes patience, but a little bit at a time you do it,” she said. “I have a little app on my phone, which this is so funny, it makes like a cha-ching every time there’s a sale whether it’s on the website or in-store.”

Fans can also shop online where there is free shipping on all orders $99 and up, or visit the Ridgewood location, which is open Monday through Saturday from 10AM to 6PM. Since Ridgewood is located in Bergen County, which enforces Blue Laws, customers won’t be able to visit Envy on Sundays anymore. For the latest updates, be sure to follow Envy on Instagram here.
