Mother’s Day is a time to treat them like the queens they are, and what better way to do that than with a nice Sunday brunch? The Corner is a friendly and casual neighborhood spot that is perfect for a low-key Mother’s Day brunch. In addition to its extensive menu of coffees, teas, and pastries, it offers eggs, sandwiches, pancakes, salads, and even baked pasta. It has also been known to feature Mother’s Day specials right before the big day, so keep an eye out for any menu additions. Be sure to go grab a table or order to-go and make it a nice Mother’s Day meal at home.

Faubourg | 544 Bloomfield Avenue

Faubourg has been known to step up its game for Mom’s special day. While it will be open for regular in-person brunch, it has also previously offered a pre-fixe to-go menu for a great at-home eating experience, including dishes such as Nova Scotia Halibut, Orecchiette and Lamb Ragout, and Vanilla Crème Brulèe. It also offers a pre-fixe brunch menu, which includes 2 courses and a choice of a bloody Mary or a seasonal mimosa! Fresco Da Franco’s brunch menu is small but mighty, and celebrating Mom here will have her feeling like the queen she is. From truffled eggs and morning classics like crunchy croissant French toast, to fried chicken and waffles and crispy calamari salads, Fresco knows brunch. Make your Mother’s Day reservations here.

If Mom is a seafood lover, Halcyon is the place to go. Halcyon has previously offered Mother’s Day specials on its Sunday brunch menu with either a prix fixe menu or a la carte. It also recently opened up outdoor dining, so if the weather is nice, this is a great spot to enjoy a meal with Mom. Montclair Diner | 613 Valley Road

You simply can’t go wrong with the Montclair Diner. While the name says diner, the experience you’ll give Mom when you bring her for her special day is a very elevated diner experience. In addition to their classic and family-style menus, the Montclair Diner also offers spring specials that include springtime French toast flavors like peaches and cream, tres leches, and cinnamon raisin cheesecake. Not a French toast fan? Their springtime menu doesn’t stop there. Try their crab cake benedict, honey vanilla bean yogurt, bacon jam gouda burger, and more.

Raymond’s has offered brunch specials in the past that any Mom would love to enjoy with her family. Additions to Raymond’s already fantastic menu included spring carrot and red lentil soup, Croque monsieur, mixed chicories salad, and assorted muffins and cornbreads. Keep an eye out for similar additions this year! 

Uncle Momo | 702 Bloomfield Avenue

Uncle Momo is an ideal spot to bring Mom for Mother’s Day, and even more so now that their outdoor dining area is back open. This French-Lebanese fusion restaurant is BYOB so you can bring a nice bottle of vino for Mom while enjoying brunch menu items like various eggs benedicts, omelets, and delicious crepe combinations.
