There’s a new store in Montclair “where convenience meets discovery.” Meet Last Minute Market, a new neighborhood specialty store located at 102 Walnut Street. The trendy store focuses on specialty items that aren’t easy to find, last-minute essentials, coffee drinks, and fun food items. The Details
Last Minute Market is a family-owned shop run by husband-and-wife duo Jason and Lindsey, located at 102 Walnut Street in Montclair. The idea for the store came from not being able to find the snacks their family wanted in a regular grocery store.
“With restaurant backgrounds, two kids, and one shared obsession with food — we set out to build something better,” the pair shared via Instagram.

The market was first announced via @lastminutemontclair on Instagram on April 9th, 2025. Since the initial news came out, the spot has shared several updates on the opening timeline and what to expect from Last Minute Market. On August 12th, it was announced that the specialty market would make its debut in Montclair on Saturday, August 16th.
The store is Jason and Lindsey’s take on a neighborhood bodega — including specialty items that aren’t easy to find, last-minute essentials, better-for-you snacks, hot grab-and-go food, coffee, and pantry goods. The pair shared with The Montclair Girl that Last Minute Market is a place where convenience meets discovery, and is also a place for “those little discoveries you didn’t know you needed until you found them.”
“We’re not your average grocer, and that’s kind of the point,” they said.
Last Minute Market aims to be a store that has something for everyone. It is both a place for discovering something new and one that you can rely on if you’re in a pinch, traveling, or need some basics that you forgot to bring with you (think bug spray, bandages, and other must-haves). Some other things you can expect to find include breakfast and baking items like cereal and chocolate chip cookie mix; pantry essentials like hotpot noodles and miso garlic marinara sauce; and snacks and sweets like cauliflower puffs, matcha popcorn, and caramel cookie bars, among other things.
“We’re excited to be part of this community and to share our love for food and good finds with our neighbors.”
