About Pockets of Light
Pockets of Light was founded by Erin Truxillo, Jennifer Brown, and Denise Cante in 2016 as a nonprofit and 501(c)(3) organization. The team recognized a lack of consistent peer support for parents who have experienced a perinatal loss. Since its founding, Pockets of Light has gone from supporting less than 20 people to over 600 in the Northern New Jersey and New York City area. In addition to supporting parents, the organization also provides free perinatal loss training to local hospitals and graduate programs that focus on healthcare. Pockets of Light also donates bereavement items to local hospitals and labor delivery units, such as Cuddle Cots and remembrance photography materials.
