Where to Find Pregnancy Loss Support in North Jersey

For those who have experienced pregnancy loss, first and foremost we’d like to say that we see you, and we are so sorry for your loss. Infant loss is more common than most people realize. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and we’ve summarized a list of local and virtual resources for support. Read on further for support resources:

Unfortunately, it is estimated by the American Pregnancy Association that 1 in 4 clinically recognized pregnancies end in a miscarriage as reported to Today.

Englewood Health and Griffin Cares | Virtual 

Griffin Cares was established in memory of Griffin Matthew Caine by his loving family. The organization provides support for families who are coping with the death of a baby through pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or during the first months of life. The program provides education, memory-making, and comfort resources, as well as offering monthly support programming and annual community events. Email them here.

Date + Time: Monthly on the first Tuesday of each month, or Peer-to-Peer 

Hudson County General Fertility Support Group | Virtual

The National Infertility Association hosts peer-led support groups and provides a safe space for peers to connect with others facing similar struggles. Hosts like Megan offer guidance on how to navigate the RESOLVE website and resources. Click here to email them.

Pockets of Light  | Essex County

Located in Essex County, New Jersey, Pockets of Light programs provide support to anyone in the surrounding area who has lost a baby before, during, or shortly after birth. They are here to help whether one has suffered a miscarriage, stillbirth, or death in the first few months of life. Click here for their email.

Date + Time: Varies based on group, options are available for miscarriage, stillbirth & early infant loss, and PAL (pregnancy after loss)

Women’s Wellness of NJ | Hackettstown

The GriefCare program, hosted by Holly Roller, is designed for those who have experienced miscarriage/multiple miscarriages, stillbirth, early infant loss, or any anomalous or fatal diagnosis. Group members are surrounded with others who mourn the loss of great expectations. This program runs periodic sessions that meet on a weekly basis to provide an outlet and support network for mothers to openly and freely discuss the loss of their child. Email them here.
