Something new is brewing in Montclair. With locations in both Fort Lee and Jersey City, Roast’d Coffee has expanded and recently opened its doors in Montclair at 49 Claremont Avenue. Much like the other locations, the fresh coffee beans are roasted right in-store. Keep reading for more about Montclair’s newest coffee spot, Roast’d Coffee.

Roast’d Coffee originated in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, over eight years ago. The coffee shop later expanded to Fort Lee in the summer of 2019. Roast’d went on to open its first New York location in Nanuet in November 2022, and later in Jersey City in 2024. Since then, it was announced that Roast’d was bringing its locally crafted coffee to Montclair.

Roast’d Coffee has expanded to 49 Claremont Street in Montclair and officially opened on Monday, August 11th, per the Roast’d team. The team first shared the news via Instagram back in May.

The spot emphasizes what Montclair does best: community. Roast’d hopes to connect with the community by including patrons in the experience. The beans are roasted right in front of shop patrons to show exactly how each cup is made, and encourage questions about the process. With coffee beans imported from all over the world, there is a bean for everyone. Roast’d Coffee shared its unique vision via Instagram.
