There’s a new restaurant coming soon to Bloomfield called 7 Doors Down Ramen Company. The restaurant will serve classic ramen menu items plus Peruvian favorites including ceviches and steaks. The restaurant comes from the same team behind Blue Steel Pizza Company, which calls the new restaurant its “illegitimate child,” and recently held a pop-up for the restaurant to preview the menu items. What We Know
The new eatery will be located at 271 Glenwood Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ — yes, just a few “doors down” from its parent company. Blue Steel Pizza Company is located at 285 Glenwood Avenue and opened in August 2020. In other news, Blue Steel will be bringing its Detroit-style pizza and cocktail parlor to the south! It’s opening its second location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in early 2022.
According to 7 Doors’ social media pages, it’s also a Peruvian restaurant that will serve ramen, tapas, ceviche, and Nikkei cuisine. The Executive Chef of the restaurant is Lawrence Talis, who is also the Executive Chef at Blue Steel Pizza, and the Head Chef is Luis Blasini.

Blue Steel hosted a pop-up of 7 Doors Down on Monday, January 17th, from 6PM to 10PM in which the menu was a la carte and a reservation was needed to experience the sneak peek of the restaurant. See the menu that was served here.

About the Menu
Although customers got a taste of 7 Doors Down, the larger menu of what it will be served upon opening is featured on its website. The small plates include edamame street corn, chicken wings, candied bacon, and tuna tartare toast among other things.
There is a variety of ceviche including market fish, tuna, shrimp, Hamachi, salmon tiradito, and scallop. The ramen dishes include Tonkotsu (pork loin in pork broth), BBQ chicken, duck ramen, and short rib ramen. In addition, there are larger main dishes, which have some Peruvian flare, such as the pork katsu, Lomo Saltado (flank steak), day boat scallop curry, and wagyu strip loin.

Coming Soon
The Ramen restaurant launched its social media pages in mid-October 2021 to start getting the word out. In early November it posted, “Excited to announce ‘7 Doors Down Ramen Co’ coming soon to Bloomfield, NJ.” Followers were quick to share their excitement with some fans commenting, “I’m so ready,” and, “Best announcement…ever!”

Per the website, which is still in the works, 7 Doors Down will be opening in spring 2022. However, Blue Steel Pizza said it’s “coming early 2022,” but will be sharing with their followers more details on the opening date.
7 Doors Down joins the list of the other few ramen restaurants in the area including Fujiya Ramen (413 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair), Ani Ramen House (511 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair), and Hokkaido Noodle & Roll (405 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell).
