About The George
The Williams Sonoma Home x The George is inspired by The George, a historic hotel in Montclair owned and renovated by Bobbi and Steven, located at 37 North Mountain Avenue #2317 in Montclair.
This once-forgotten hotel, comprised of 31 rooms, dates back to 1902 when it was a private home for Charles Van Vleck. The property was given landmark status in 2008 and was purchased by Bobbi and Steven in 2012. The George was the couple’s first creative collaboration, with Bobbi taking on the role of Creative Director and Steven as the developer who oversaw the remodeling process.

This hotel, with its upscale, chic design, is a hidden gem in Montclair. Being only twelve miles from NYC, people travel from all over to stay at this historic spot.
Bobbi and Steven have infused their own aesthetic into the space’s styling using Williams Sonoma Home x The George. Items from the holiday collection are featured throughout the hotel, including in the historic paneled library.

Bobbi Brown, an entrepreneur, hotelier, and makeup artist best known for her brands Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Jones Road Beauty, and her husband Steven Plofker are collaborating with Williams Sonoma Home — a sustainability business specializing in everything from furniture to cutlery to home essentials — to launch a holiday capsule collection on November 12th.
Williams Sonoma Home x The George features curtains, pillows, bedding, rugs, frames, leather boxes, barware, and desk accessories, among other things. Customers can expect the vibes of this collection to include masculine aesthetics, British motifs, and dogs.

For Bobbi and Steven, partnering with Williams Sonoma Home was what they called a “joy.” “Williams Sonoma immediately understood our vision and together, we created a group of limited edition items that I’m very proud of,” Bobbi said via a statement.
