What We Know

The DRIP is a fitness establishment that provides both virtual and in-studio fitness opportunities encompassing strength, cycling, boxing, yoga, dance, barre, pilates, and private training. The DRIP earns its name from every class that will leave customers “dripping” literally in sweat and also in confidence. The Hoboken facility is at 44 Hudson Place with three studios plus a Pilates reformer studio opening soon on the third floor of The Grover House. The Drip still has virtual classes streamed out of the Hoboken location. The virtual sessions are streamed about 30 times per week (barre, mat pilates, signature DRIIP class, and cycle) and the classes live on its portal for about a month. Customers have the option to do a virtual membership or get complimentary access to the portal with an unlimited membership which is useful for customers who travel.

The DRIP will open its second location at 333 Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell, New Jersey in January 2024. The new studio is about 1500 square feet, and will feature in-studio services that include the signature DRIIP workout for the body, mind, and soul, a 50-minute Pilates reformer class, and new services that elevate the overall experience.

The DRIP co-founders Olivia LaCaruba and Samantha Green were both Hoboken residents at one point (Olivia now lives in North Caldwell but Samantha still lives in Hoboken) and long-term fitness instructors who believe in the freeing benefits of fitness for the mind, body, and soul. From a visionary perspective, The DRIP aims to embody the vibrant energy of Caldwell while fostering a sense of inclusivity and community. Olivia believes that Caldwell is a perfect location for The DRIP. “Caldwell is the perfect place to open our second location. It has all the hustle of the city but with the down-to-earth energy we all crave,” Olivia said in a press release.

The expansion signifies The DRIP’s commitment to building a brand that resonates with each neighborhood it enters. Samantha highlighted the studio’s approach per a press release, saying “Just as in Hoboken, we hope to cultivate and strengthen that something extra that is already in the community. A studio that is accommodating to all fitness levels but for those with the heart of a hustler. It is always more than just a workout.”

What to Expect

Aesthetically, The DRIP plans to infuse glamor into Caldwell’s scene, going for a chic ambiance to welcome visitors. The studio will feature bright open spaces, expansive windows, high-gloss finishes, and warm lighting, reflecting the energy of Caldwell and its surrounding towns.

“Our clients are genuinely a part of something special that is different from many other fitness studios,” Samantha said. The DRIP promises several distinctive features, such as a diverse workout selection, with plans to introduce a second mat studio in the near future, personalized attention from passionate instructors, fostering a welcoming and non-intimidating atmosphere, and placing a strong emphasis on the emotional, mental, and spiritual release that accompanies physical movement, creating a holistic fitness experience.

At the heart of The DRIP is its signature 50-minute Pilates reformer class. This challenging workout, designed for the body, mind, and soul, features slow and controlled movements synchronized to music. Incorporating weights and props, the class encompasses exercises both on the reformer and the floor, ensuring a comprehensive fitness experience.
