Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away, it is time to start making plans for Thanksgiving dinner. If looking to celebrate somewhere else besides home, there will be restaurants open on the holiday. These spots will have special menus with Thanksgiving favorites like turkey, potatoes, and stuffing. To help prepare, read on for a list of restaurants that will be open in Montclair and surrounding Essex County cities for 2023.

Cucina Calandra | 216 Route 46 East, Fairfield
Hours: 12PM – 6PM
Special Menu: A lunch and dinner menu will be available with Italian-styled Thanksgiving dishes. A kids’ menu will also be available. For dining room and lounge reservations, guests can call (973)-575-7720. Private rooms are also available for larger parties.

Giola Mia | 331 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair
Hours: 1PM – 6:30PM
Special Menu: On Thanksgiving, Giola Mia will be serving a special 5-course holiday menu. There will be different foods like salads, soups, salmon, yams, stuffing, and other foods. Desserts will also be available as the fifth course which is assorted pies made by Stuff By SJ. Reservations can be made via Resy or by calling the restaurant directly at 973-233-0350.
Il Vecchio Café | 234 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell
Hours: 11:30AM – 1:30PM, 2PM – 4PM, 4:30PM – 6:30PM
Special Menu: There will be three different dining sessions for Thanksgiving. A lunch session will be a brunch-style meal with muffins, french toast, pastries, and casseroles. Starting at 2PM, the dinner session will begin at 2PM and be a buffet-style menu with hot entrees, salads, sides, and desserts — as well as a kids’ menu for the little ones. The Brookdale | 1099 Broad Street, Bloomfield
Hours: 12:30PM – 7PM
Special Menu: There will be a Thanksgiving-inspired menu with dishes like herb-roasted turkey breast, dark meat roulade, cornbread stuffing, broccoli souffle, sweet potato casserole, cranberry sauce, and housemade gravy. These dinner specials will be priced at $48 for adults and $24 for kids.
The Highlawn | 1 Crest Drive, West Orange
Hours: 11PM – 6PM
Special Menu: A three-course meal featuring Thanksgiving favorites like turkey, squash soup, crispy artichokes, gnocchi, and other dishes. Kids can also enjoy a special menu made for them featuring dishes like chicken fingers, pizza, spaghetti, and soup. End your meal with dessert options like cheesecake or a pumpkin tart. Reservations must be made by calling (973)-731-3463.
The Fox + Falcon | 19 Valley Street, South Orange
Hours: 12PM – 8PM
Special Menu: A three-course meal will be valued at $65 per person and reservations must be made in advance by clicking the link here.

Hours: 12:30PM – 7PM
Special Menu: A three-course prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu will be available. There will be appetizer choices like pumpkin soup to beet salad. There will be a choice of entree, side, and to finish off your meal a choice of dessert. Reservations can be made here.
