In recent years, the work industry has changed completely. Remote and/or hybrid work has been on the rise ever since COVID-19. Now, with the world now back to normalcy, this kind of work is still popular among several workers. Working from home can be convenient for many but what’s better is that there are other locations than home to work from. From bookstores to cafes, there are many places to work remotely in. This cafe is also a small bookstore, making it an ideal location for remote workers to set up their laptops; tap into the free WiFi; and grab a smoothie and kumpir, a Turkish-style baked potato stuffed with butter, cheese, corn, and peas (pictured above) and served with a Russian salad. There are indoor work areas as well as a spacious outdoor patio. It’s open on weekdays from 8AM to 8PM Saturday from 8AM to 8PM, and Sunday from 10AM to 7PM.

This women-owned local coffee shop has two locations in the area — one in Montclair and one in Upper Montclair. Java Love is committed to sustainability and, as the name suggests, sells a variety of different coffee + teas. The Church Street location is open from Monday to Sunday, 8AM to 6PM — perfectly convenient for the traditional work day. The Upper Montclair location is open an hour longer, from 7AM to 6PM. There is often music playing, so this won’t be an ideal spot for a silent workspace — but it still makes for a cozy, productive atmosphere. Both locations have WiFi and outlets available.
