Campus Pride Index recently announced Montclair State University as a 2021 Best of the Best LGBTQ-friendly campus as a part of its National listing of LGBTQ-friendly colleges and universities. MSU received a 5 out of 5 score.
Addressing MSU’s commitment to LGBTQ+ communities, The Campus Pride Index explained, “Montclair State has a dynamic queer and allied community and there are many ways to connect, including residing in our LGBTQ+ Residential Community, Stonewall Suites, and joining our weekly drop-in clubs and groups. The LGBTQ Center offers various workshops, programs, and leadership opportunities. Students can pursue academic majors and minors in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Studies. In addition to providing training opportunities for the campus community, like Safe Space, the LGBTQ center also train colleges, universities, and organizations all over the state through our Lavender Leader program.”
