Frederic’s Fine Jewelers has been in the business for almost 100 years, tracing its roots back to the original owner, Rowland D Goodman, who opened up shop in Newark. His hope was to deliver what the local community needed most – a fine jewelry store and ‘serve the growing population with loyalty and respect.’ And after more than 50 years of serving Newark, a second location opened in Montclair.
2019 was a pivotal year for the jewelry store as the Goodman family sold the store to Neil Malhotra + Morten Degnemark of I.B.N. Diamond Corporation. While still retaining the same values as the original owners, Frederic’s Fine Jewelers upholds the traditions of loyalty, respect, and community, while also offering the modern designers, styles, and services that started the business.
What makes Frederic’s unique is that it is both owned and operated by I.B.N. Diamond Corporation. Having the ability to be the diamond importer and manufacturer allows Frederic’s direct access to a diamond and precious stone supplier as well as a manufacturing source. This means the team has the ability to custom design + create just about anything.
