Popular menu items include burgers, meatloaf, and sandwiches like the 1928 burger and buffalo chicken wrap, which are fan favorites.
The restaurant recently revamped its brunch menu, adding more robust flavors. The menu features classic brunch dishes like omelets, steak + eggs, lemon ricotta pancakes, and the regular Fitzgerald’s fare. The brunch drink menu has $6 cocktails like bloody marys, mimosas, Irish coffee, and more.

“I grew up in Glen Ridge, so being back in the neighborhood and seeing familiar faces, new and old, has been awesome, Brewster told The Montclair Girl. “Running Fitzgerald’s felt like a great homecoming for me.”

History of Fitzgerald’s
Fitzgerald’s was started by Paul Brewster and Dave Fitzgerald and has been run by Paul Brewster and Ryan Brewster since 2008. The American tavern serves classic tavern food, local craft beer, seasonal cocktails, and a wide range of whiskey and wine. Before serving the community as a restaurant, the building hosted other restaurants, a liquor store, and a supermarket dating back to the 1920s.
Today, Fitzgerald’s is known as a warm and welcoming gathering place for everyone in all walks of life. And what’s next, for Fitzgerald’s? The team plans to uphold the traditions that everyone knows and loves while continuing to improve each day. Look out for a serious revamp of the bar menu as lead bartender, Maris Divak, has been hard at work refining some classics and putting riffs on some favorite drinks. The plan is to continue to pay more attention to the whiskey selection, focusing on bourbons and American whiskey. The team is also working on expanding the brunch menu as well.

New French-Asian Bakery Taking Over Former Lululemon Space in Montclair
Bloomfield Avenue and the surrounding streets are home to all kinds of foodie shops, from restaurants to delis to coffee shops to bakeries. 520 Bloomfield Avenue has remained vacant since October 2023, when Lululemon closed its doors to move to Willowbrook Mall. According to recent signage spotted in the space by The Montclair Girl, Tous les Jours, a French-Asian bakery originating in South Korea, is coming to the former athletic clothing store. What We Know
Tous les Jours, a French-Asian bakery, first opened its doors in Guri, South Korea in 1997. In 2004, after opening sites around the world, the franchise brought its innovative pastries to the United States. Since then, the business has opened more than 110 locations across the country, with eight in New Jersey.
According to signage spotted at 520 Bloomfield Avenue, the former Lululemon, Montclair is getting ready to welcome Tous les Jours' newest location. Per an Instagram post, the business is planning for an official grand opening this December and is currently hiring for various positions.

Tous les Jours means "every day" in French, and the bakery, which specializes in desserts, fun beverages, and coffee, makes its products fresh each day, per its website. Montclair locals can look forward to an expansive menu of baked goods, which includes cakes, savory and sweet breads, doughnuts, and more. The menu also features a combination of French and Asian pastries, like the Pain au Chocolat, a bread roll filled with chocolate, and the Honey Cheese Mochi Pancake, which is a flattened pancake stuffed with a honey and cheddar cheese mochi filling.
In addition, the bakery will serve sandwiches, coffee, tea, and blended frozen drinks, like smoothies, in mango or strawberry, and frappes in the flavors matcha, mocha, and caramel. For customers who prefer to brew their coffee at home, Tous les Jours will also sell its brand of coffee beans.
