The Birds of Summer: Morning Bird Walks at Montclair Public Library

These three Tuesday morning excursions will take locals into three very different habitats as attendees get to know some of the local nesting species: upland forest, riparian forest, and brackish wetland. (Exact locations will be selected based on recent sightings and weather.) Each outing will find us walking slowly for three hours, watching the birds we find, and learning about their lives and habits.

All of the picks are vetted by our team of local residents, based on our own experiences in the community. We won't spoil all the fun, but here's a sampling of what to expect:

- paddle-boarding at Verona Park
- visiting on of Montclair's many gardens
