It’s no secret that Montclair is a hub for the arts – it’s part of what makes the area so great! A-list celebrities have called it home given its proximity to NYC and its suburban vibes – perfect for those who love both the hustle and bustle of a city and the tranquility of living just outside of one. Because of the area’s versatility, it has been a go-to for film crews over the years. In fact, there are a number of celebs in town filming a new movie as we speak. In between filming, these celebs, including Emma Roberts and William H. Macy, have taken to the town to enjoy the local food scene. These stars are among the handful of actors that were in the Essex County area in February. Read on for a list of celebrities who were spotted in the Montclair area this month.

Just last week, Tom Holland, most known for his role as Spider-Man in the Marvel Universe, made a planned appearance as part of his press tour to attend a screening of Uncharted at The Village at SOPAC. The movie is a film adaptation of the popular video game which was inspired by the likes of characters similar to Indiana Jones. He took to the stage to talk about the film and what it felt like to be the most-watched movie in the world right now. Always kind to fans, Tom gave out autographs and took photos with those in attendance.

Just a few days later, this past weekend, none other than Emma Roberts was spotted at not one but two Montclair businesses – Fascino and Tierney’s Tavern. It’s unclear who she dined with at Fascino as she was the only actor in the restaurant’s Instagram post posted this morning but four days ago, William Macy also stopped in for a meal at the restaurant – it’s also unknown at the moment if he ate solo.

Staying local – Emma paid a visit to Tierney’s with her former co-star, Luke Bracey, over the weekend. Emma and Luke co-starred in the Netflix Original rom-com Holidate in 2020 where they played each other’s love interest. In the film, the characters who originally planned to be platonic friends and step in as each other’s dates over the holidays inevitably fell for each other in the end. Now, the duo is hanging in Montclair. Perhaps they’re co-starring again in a new film, but it is unclear as no details have been released as of yet.

We also got word that Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, and Diane Keaton are filming in the area, likely the same movie that Emma Roberts and William Macy will be starring in, but nothing is confirmed at the moment.
Last but not least, Diane Keaton was spotted at Egan and Sons enjoying dinner!
