The team behind Bloomfield java destination 23 Skiddoo Cafe just expanded its offerings. 23 Skiddoo Gelato is now open at 27 Carteret Street in Bloomfield, located right next door to its first storefront at 33 Carteret Street. The gelato shop serves up various types of the frozen dessert, as well as other sweet treats. In addition to gelato at the new store, locals can still enjoy the usual coffee drinks, baked goods, and more at 23 Skiddoo Cafe. The Newest Addition: 23 Skiddoo Gelato
23 Skiddoo Gelato is an extension of 23 Skiddoo Cafe, a coffee shop located right next door. The gelato shop, located at 27 Carteret Street in Bloomfield, was first announced via Instagram on September 5th after the 23 Skiddoo team came back from what they called a “working vacation”:
“We’re back from a working vacation here!
And, yes we’ve got a surprise for you!
Somebody say Gelato?”

A soft opening period was held from September 6th through September 7th, where locals were able to taste test the gelato ahead of the official opening. The team shared another update on the space on September 9th, when the grand opening date was revealed:
“As we prepare to make it official and open your new gelato shop, we want to express our deepest gratitude. Your support and excitement has been the sweetest part of our journey, and we could not have reached this milestone without our incredible customers.
It’s because of your loyalty and love for us that has allowed us to be joined at the hip at this little corner of Carteret street!
We are so excited to invite you to our grand opening celebration.

Time: Open 12 Noon till 8pm

23 Skiddoo Cafe, the sister business of 23 Skiddoo Gelato, has been a go-to for Bloomfield locals for coffee drinks, baked goods, smoothies, and more for several years. The family-owned business is located at 33 Carteret Street, and has a motto of “Coffee, Care & Community.”
On the menu, you can expect to find hot and cold coffee drinks and teas, hot chocolate, shakes, smoothies, croissants, cruffins, apple turnovers, danishes, and bagels, among other items. There are also rotating muffin and scone flavors, as well as coffee beans for sale. Find the full menu here.
