Here in MTC, there are so many local happenings that occur each year — Pride festivals, literary festivals, film festivals, jazz festivals, the list goes on. The Walnut Street Fair is taking place this weekend on Sunday, September 29th after being postponed back in May due to rain. The fair is presented by the Junior League of Montclair-Newark, and will take place on Walnut Street from Grove Street to Forest Street and include various activities for everyone. The 2024 Walnut Street Fair will take place on Sunday, September 29th from 11AM-4PM on Walnut Street from Grove Street to Forest Street. The event is hosted by the Junior League of Montclair-Newark, and the presenting sponsors are BDP Holdings LLC and Optimum.

This year marks the 8th Walnut Street Festival. Per a press release, the festival will include over 300 vendors selling food and drink, as well as handcrafted artisan goods. The event will also include a variety of local Montclair area businesses.
There will also be two stages of musical performances, a Family Fun Zone with free kid-friendly activities, and a beer garden, among other things. The Walnut Street Festival is a free event.
