“We’re proud to introduce this dynamic property to downtown Montclair,” said David Barry, CEO of Hoboken-based Ironstate Development Company. “Montclair is a destination for people who enjoy its unique blend of shopping, dining, and cultural attractions, and it is consistently rated one of New Jersey’s most desirable places to live. The opening of Two South Willow will bolster that reputation by adding a new modern living option to an area of town that will soon be pulsing with activity, culture, and convenience.”

Designed by Marchetto Higgins Stieve and Minno Wasko, with interiors by Kara Mann Design, Two South Willow keeps the history of the architecture of the adjacent building alive. The apartments feature bright and open living spaces, modern kitchens, walk-in closets, and balconies. Shared social spaces include a fitness center with Peloton bikes, a rooftop study with a fireplace, and a roof deck with fire pits, BBQ grills, and a shuffleboard court. The building also offers keyless entry access and onsite, covered parking.

Right outside of the Two South Willow building is a portion of Seymour Street being converted into a pedestrian-only space to create the Wellmont Arts Plaza. It will include extensive landscaping, outdoor seating, and multiple art installations, as well as space to host open-air performances and other events, the press release stated.

The building is just steps from retail, restaurants, and public transport access. NJ TRANSIT’s Bay Street and Walnut Street train stations are a short walk from Two South Willow and deliver commuters to and from New York Penn Station in about 40 minutes. Daily bus service to New York City is also available from multiple locations on or near Bloomfield Avenue. Residents with cars have easy access with proximity to Route 280 and the Garden State Parkway.
