Movie lovers in Montclair can now enjoy drinks with their popcorn and candy, and we’re not talking soda. The Clairidge, located at 486 Bloomfield Avenue, has announced that it will add a few bar items, featuring drinks like beer, canned cocktails, and more, to its concession stand starting on Friday, March 14th. The Details
The Clairidge has served the Montclair community as the town’s go-to theater since its establishment in 1922. Under Montclair Film, the cinema provides locals showings of blockbuster and indie films, BYOB events (that being bring-your-own-baby events), and more. Now, the six-screen art-house theater is expanding its options even further to serve alcoholic drinks at its concession stand. Starting on Friday, March 14th, local movie-goers can enjoy wine, beer, hard cider, and canned cocktails with their theater snacks.

About The Clairidge
The Clairidge is a historic gem in Montclair. Opening in 1922, it began as a single-screen movie palace, serving the community and local film lovers. It expanded to a three-screen cinema in 1983 and then to a six-screen cinema in 1997. During that time, the theater began to focus on independent films, documentaries, and foreign language films.
In 2021, The Clairidge linked with Montclair Film, a nonprofit organization that provides educational programs, special events, and the annual Montclair Film Festival, and officially ran as an independently-run movie house.
