Fatto Con Amore, a new sandwich shop from Chef Robbie Felice, will open this summer in Montclair. The spot will join the growing list of Chef Robbie’s foodie ventures in the North Jersey area, including the recently opened Pasta Ramen. The name means ‘made with love’ in Italian, and the shop will be located at 4 S. Fullerton Avenue. It will offer fresh-made sandwiches and bread in addition to pantry goods. Read on for what we know about the new sandwich shop Fatto con Amore.
What We Know
The shop will open at 4 S. Fullerton Avenue in Montclair, with an anticipated opening date in late June or early July 2023. The space is next door to Chef Felice’s other Montclair restaurant, Pasta Ramen, which opened earlier this year.
The actual space for Fatto Con Amore has had many previous lives. It has been home to Table Leg Home, a gift and home design store, and Isaiah Hemmingway Bespoke, a custom tailoring shop.

Per NorthJersey.com, the shop plans to offer specialty Italian meats + artisan cheeses on custom-made breads as well as imported pantry goods, cured meats, and cheeses. During the pandemic, while many restaurants were closed, Chef Felice used one of his existing restaurants, Viaggio, as a mini-market and deli, selling pantry goods and sandwiches.

The team settled in Montclair for a three-month stint in Montclair at The Clubhouse. “It felt really good,” Chef Robbie said. “It was the middle of the pandemic so we still had only a small group of diners, but it felt great to be able to do something creative and keep people employed.”

The restaurant is located at 6 South Fullerton Avenue and is open for dinner seven days a week. It is a BYOB. “Coming back to Montclair is huge for us,” Chef Robbie said. “There’s no other town I’d want to do this in. Montclair is the perfect place to bring a non-traditional concept. Montclair is its own restaurant capital and it’s super different.”
The Montclair Girl will update this piece with more information as the restaurant is closer to opening.
