Road Runner (aka Baby) and Buttons are two New Jersey pups that are looking to be adopted and find a home they will stay at forever. Road Runner is a 10-year-old Shepherd mix that comes from Liberty Humane Society, while Buttons comes from Wise Animal Rescue and is a 4.5-year-old Chihuahua and Yorkie mix. Name: Road Runner aka Baby

Breed: Shepherd mix

Weight: 42.2 lbs

Age: 10

Ideal Home: Road Runner’s ideal home would be a calm home.

Kids: No, only teenagers who will be respectful of her.

Dogs: No

Cats: No

Crate-Trained: Yes

House Trained: No, she was living in a home her whole life until a couple of months ago.

Other training: Knows sit, down.

Leash Manners: Walks well on a leash.

Personality: Road Runner is a very calm girl that still has her playful moments. She is very bright and truly shows that an old dog can learn new tricks.

Why she/he was brought to the rescue: Her owner passed away and no other relatives wanted to take her in. Later on, Liberty Humane Society found out her name was Baby. She is now staying at the shelter awaiting a new home.

Buttons

Breed: Chihuahua/Yorkie mix

Age: 4.5

Ideal Home: Buttons would do well in most homes. He’s happy, funny, and loves attention from people.

Kids: 10+

Dogs: Buttons is currently living with other dogs in his foster home and happily coexists with them. He is not looking for a doggy playmate though, just a friend.

Cats: Yes

Crate-Trained: Buttons is fine when left alone outside of the crate but actually enjoys being in the crate. His foster has a crate out that he sometimes goes in on his own to take a snooze.

House Trained: Yes, but occasionally marks in new environments.

Other training: Buttons responds to his name and is generally well-behaved, but needs to learn basic commands.

Leash Manners: Walks well on a leash and loves walks.

Personality: Buttons is an affectionate, loving little guy who is ready to be your best friend. If you’re looking for a lap dog, this is the pup for you.

Why she/he was brought to the rescue: Buttons was surrendered by his previous owners when one of them became gravely ill and taken in by Wise Animal Rescue.
