North Jersey native Kristina Helfer has been a real estate investor and “dog lady” for the majority of her life. After catching the real estate bug, she started her real estate career in 2017 focusing on the Hoboken and Jersey City markets.
Following a move to Essex County in 2019, she now primarily works in Essex, Union, and Morris counties, assisting her clients in their moves from Hudson County to the suburbs in search of starting a new chapter.
“I enjoy the real estate process from start to finish. Taking an unsure client and guiding them through the ups and downs of a home purchase or sale and seeing them come out of the other side happy and excited is why I am in the business,” Kristina told The Montclair Girl. “It brings me joy to see my clients happy. For many people, a home purchase or sale is the start to a new beginning in their lives, and being a part of that is an honor.”

With the slogan “For People and Pets,” Kristina is determined to help not only people with pets find their dream homes but also homeless pets who need a forever home as well. She helps run Wise Animal Rescue and has been actively involved in animal welfare throughout her life.
“I want to help more people and more pets find homes in 2022 than I have ever before. I believe that the right home changes a person’s life – just like it does for a homeless dog in need. It brings stability and comfort, a space where they can express themselves and enjoy life,” Kristina mentioned. “I am taking to social media with my Tips + Tails videos to educate more people about investing in real estate. I hope my videos help answer people’s questions about investing and inspire them to consider taking that leap into real estate.”
Another point of interest that sets Kristina apart is her personal experience and appreciation for the local area. Having purchased and sold numerous properties, she has an in-depth knowledge of the real estate market in Essex County.
“I have spent most of my adult life finding people and homeless pets forever homes. I feel so fortunate to be able to do what I do,” Kristina shared. “I love living and working in a place where I have been able to make new friends, explore different cuisines, and have easy access to New York City and other areas of the state.”
