From Monday, December 13th to Saturday, December 18th, MG readers will have the chance to win some amazing prizes all from local businesses in Essex County. Keep reading to learn about the details on how to enter each giveaway and to discover the prizes.
How To Enter
Here’s what’s needed to enter on Instagram. Participants MUST enter by 11:59PM each day to be considered. Participants can enter each day, so 6 giveaway entries total:
- Must be following @TheMontclairGirl and IG account of business tagged in the post
- Like @theMontclairGirl’s Instagram post about the giveaway
- Tag 1 friend in the comment section of the post — the more comments, the more entries.
- Must enter by 11:59PM EST to be considered
- The winner will be announced via @TheMontclairGirl’s IG Stories the day after the respective giveaway

Alchemy Scent Bar is a brand new shop in the heart of downtown Montclair. Customers can choose from over 100 scents to create a one-of-a-kind fragrance to be used in a candle or home and body products. This giveaway includes a custom candle and aromatic mist for two. The candles used at Alchemy Scent Bar are made with natural soy which means they burn longer and maintain a truer scent profile than other candles.
Pursue Physical Therapy & Performance Training | 271 Grove Avenue, Building C, Verona

Pursue PT is Essex County’s go-to provider for rehabilitation and physical therapy needs. Each member of the Pursue team has extensive training in their respective fields, and the team shares the same goal of educating clients to help them live a pain-free life. The giveaway winner will receive five sessions of cupping therapy, which increases blood flow to an area of sore muscles to promote healing. The winner will also receive a gift basket of Pursue PT items including a set of two whiskey glasses, mini exercise bands, and a Pursue PT lacrosse ball. The prize mixes healing and fun in the best way possible.

The winner of this giveaway will receive a coffee lover’s dream from Java Love, which opened on Bellevue Avenue in 2014. All of the beans are roasted in the coffee company’s Catskills-based roastery: all of the beans are hand-roasted in small batches. The decor uses reclaimed wood from an old building renovation and wood found in the original Bethel shop basement, giving it the same feeling of warmth customers find at the Bethel location. Once Java Love on Bellevue Avenue became something of a neighborhood staple, the owners opened another location on Church Street in downtown Montclair.
