The Ivy at Chatham

wel•lam begins its Fall Movement program for tween and teen girls with founder Lia Masciulli this Sunday, September 12th. The five-week course will take place outdoors every Sunday from 10:00AM-11:00AM in Anderson Park at 313-359 N Mountain Ave, Montclair, for girls ages 10-15 years old. The course supports the emotional and physical well-being of tween and teen girls through movement and mindfulness practices. By the end of the program, teens will have learned the basic movement principles of Pilates, Yoga & Barre, discovered how to unlock ultimate confidence to become unstoppable, and cultivated a connection with themselves and others.

Join an outdoor yoga session at Van Vleck House every Wednesday at 6PM. This class welcomes all levels from beginner to experienced yogis. Please note mats will be spaced at least 6 feet apart, and participants required to practice social distancing and wear a mask at all times except while practicing on your mat. Hoboken 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

The City of Hoboken invites the community to attend a service at the Hoboken 9/11 Memorial at Pier A. The ceremony will begin at 6:00PM.

In the Northwest area of the park, the memorial is aligned in the direction of the World Trade Center site and includes a glass panel for each of the 56 Hoboken residents lost on that day.


Essex County 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

The County of Essex will host its ceremony at 8AM at the Essex County Eagle Rock Reservation.

Essex County to Administer Covid-19 Booster Shots

Essex County announced that it will administer booster shots to those who are immunocompromised, by appointment only, at its vaccination centers at Kmart in West Orange and Essex County College in Newark. According to the CDC and the FDA, people are considered to have a compromised immune system if they are fighting a disease, undergoing medical treatments or have received an organ transplant. High school students are invited to join the new Teen Advisory Group. Help make UPL the place for you by sharing ideas for library programs and recommending books, movies, and more. Communities Promoting Animal Welfare in NJ | 41 Watchung Plaza, Montclair

An opportunity for even the busiest volunteer. With options to help from home, at school, in-person, and virtually, the entire community can help save animals in the area. Volunteers are needed to help educate the community on animal welfare, help organize events, transport animals to and from doctor’s visits, and more. Serving food to the community is a daily ongoing effort. Toni’s Kitchen in Montclair is available for this support. However, it can only stay in operation with the support of ongoing volunteers.
