When to Get Screened Earlier

While routine mammograms are generally recommended beginning at age 40, certain risk factors may call for earlier screening.

These include:

• Lifestyle Factors: Smoking, obesity, and excessive alcohol use can also increase risk and may prompt earlier screening discussions.
