What to Know About the Flag Cities Fan Fests Coming to Newark, NJ

With the World Cup less than a month away, the New York-New Jersey area is expected to welcome more than one million visitors as fans attend matches at MetLife Stadium, fan festivals, and watch parties to celebrate the world’s biggest sporting event. Among the many events planned, GOYA Foods Company is presenting the Flag Cities 2026 series, an immersive fan festival experience coming to Mulberry Commons in Newark on Wednesday, June 24th. GOYA Presents Flag Cities 2026 Newark

Goya Foods is the largest Hispanic-owned food company in the United States and will serve as the presenting sponsor for the Flag Cities 2026 series, consisting of seven events across North Jersey. The events bring an immersive fan festival experience to Newark, Jersey City, Bergen County, Secaucus, East Rutherford, Bayonne, and Paterson, NJ leading up to the eight matches at MetLife Stadium.

Each event will feature live soccer matches streamed on large LED screens, food trucks, global cuisine, beer gardens, live music, cultural performances, artisan vendors, kids’ zones, and more. 

Mulberry Commons will air the Scotland vs. Brazil matches at 6PM, and Morocco vs. Haiti, also at 6PM. Soulja Boy, an American rapper, will be the event’s headlining performer. The event takes place Wednesday, June 24th from 4-9PM.

  • Adult tickets, ages 12+, are $23.10 including fees
  • Child tickets, ages 3-11, are $12.05, including fees
  • Children 2 and under can attend free of charge

PATH service to Newark Penn Station is recommended, as well as NJ TRANSIT rail service to Newark Penn Station, and Newark Light Rail connections. There is also pedestrian access from transit hubs and multiple paid parking garages near the event site.
