On Sunday, April 13th from 3PM-5PM, celebrate Wendy Born’s debut exhibition, “Poetic Realism: Light, Landscape, and the Everyday Sublime.” This en plein air collection captures the serene beauty of Van Vleck House + Gardens—a space that serves as a sanctuary for so many in Montclair. This will be on view through May 16th at Van Vleck Garden, the Smith Visitor Center.

One of those events that Montclair locals look forward to each year is the annual Walnut Street Fair, which will take place this weekend on May 4th and include various activities for everyone to enjoy. 2025 Walnut Street Fair Details
The Walnut Street Fair is returning once again for 2025 and will take place on Sunday, May 4th from 11AM-4PM on Walnut Street from Grove Street to Forest Street in Montclair. The event is hosted by the Junior League of Montclair-Newark, and will take place rain or shine. This year marks the 9th Walnut Street Fair.

The free-to-attend festival will include over 200 vendors and food trucks selling food and drink — including a selection of local Montclair area businesses — as well as handcrafted artisan goods. There will also be live music, and a Family Fun Zone with free kid-friendly activities including face painting, a bounce house obstacle course, a live magician, and a visit from Bluey, among other things.

This year's event will also feature a diaper drive to support local foster families in need. The JLMN is asking for diapers, wipes, and other baby essentials if you are attending the event, but donations can also be made via the Amazon wishlist here. More information can be found on Instagram.
