From Jersey City to the Heart of the Catskills

Chris and Christine Monello, the husband-and-wife duo behind Western Sullivan Properties, made the move from Jersey City Heights to the Catskills in 2018. They had been visiting the area for years, always staying at Foster Supply Hospitality’s beautifully curated hotels. But like so many others who fall in love with the picturesque scenery of the Catskills, they decided to put down roots in Livingston Manor. Eventually, they moved into one of the Western Sullivan Properties' new construction homes. Now, they’re raising their two children surrounded by trees, trails, and a community that reflects the pace and priorities of mountain life.

Partnering with Chris and Christine is Sims Foster, co-founder of Foster Supply Hospitality and a Sullivan County native. Sims grew up in Livingston Manor and is now raising his family with his wife, Kirsten Foster, as fifth-generation Sullivan County residents. With a background in hospitality, spanning more than 40 restaurants, bars, and boutique hotels, Sims brings an expert eye for livability, design, and hospitality, from his experiences with lifestyle brands like The James, Affinia, Joie de Vivere, Thompson, and Tommie, all of which play a major role in the homes that Western Sullivan builds.
