The Essex County Holiday House Tour is Back, Here’s the Lineup

The Essex County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs annual Holiday House Tour is back for the season, taking place on Saturday, December 4th, and Sunday, December 5th. Each of the participating houses will offer its own form of entertainment from live music to educational programs, and more.

Every holiday season, the Center’s historic houses – the Crane House and Historic YWCA, are donned in holiday decor fitting of the houses’ era. The Garden Club of Montclair provides the decor for these two properties.

The Ivy at Chatham

Last year, the House Tour was dubbed a top choice in the Northeast and fourth place nationwide in USA Today 10 Best Reader’s Choice award.

Kip’s Castle, Canfield-Morgan House, Grover Cleveland’s birthplace, The Walther House, Van Tassel Funeral Home, The Ballantine House at the Newark Museum, Crane Homestead, and Kingsland Manor will be a part of the tour in addition to the Montclair History Center’s Crane House and Historic YWCA.
