Franklin

Name: Franklin “Frank”
Breed: Dachshund
Age: 8

Dogs: Yes — Franklin would do well with another laid-back dog to show him the ropes. He may not engage in play, but he would love a buddy to take naps with.
Cats: Unknown
Crate-Trained: Yes
House Trained: Yes. Once Franklin gets into his routine, he is fully house-trained. He might have an occasional accident as he adjusts but he is doing great with going outside.
Leash Manners: Franklin has never been walked on a leash and is still learning. However, he loves to be outside and explore everything. He will sniff whatever his nose can reach.
Personality: After spending his whole life in a cage, used over and over for breeding, Franklin is looking for a loving home that will teach him that the world is a good place. He is slowly learning the good things about being a dog. He loves spending time outside and hanging out with his doggy foster sibling. After a day or so he becomes more comfortable and loves to explore. When he thinks you aren’t looking, his fun personality comes out and he can be found rolling around on his back having the best time. He is very shy and gets nervous when you go near him or try to pet him, but he does let you pet him and loves treats. Franklin also enjoys going on adventures.

Piper

Leash Manners: Piper loves to go for short walks and walks well on the leash.
Personality: Piper is the sweetest girl who just wants to be in your company. She loves to lay next to you on the couch and soak up your attention. She greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and a smile on her wrinkly face. Piper is quiet and affectionate. While Piper may be a golden girl, she still loves to play tug-of-war and spend time outside.

Regina

Other training: Regina is working on puppy manners and basic obedience. She has already mastered sit, come, and down, and is working on paw. She will need continued training to help her become the best-behaved dog she can be. Since she had never been in a home before being rescued, she is working on her leash training and how to go up and down stairs.
Personality: Regina is a sweetheart and aims to please. Regina is happiest in people and canine company. She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle and be pet. She will cover your face in kisses and greet you with a wagging tail.

Swiss Roll

Leash manners: Swiss Roll walks well on a leash, although he will need a home with strong dog knowledge.
Personality: Swiss Roll is so sweet, cuddly, loyal, and smart. He loves to snuggle up as close as possible when sitting on the couch. He loves to shower you with kisses and is very attentive to his person. Swiss Roll loves food! Being that he will do anything for a treat, he is a very fast learner. Swiss Roll is a true Pointer in nature and will watch birds and small animals, as he “points” towards them. Swiss Roll needs to be active and have stimulation, but he also is a happy couch potato. He only needs short spurts of activity to satisfy his body and mind, daily.

Personality: When you take this girl out for a walk, she is on a mission. Once she does her business, she can thoroughly enjoy her walk. Evie loves the outdoors and enjoys smelling her surroundings. Once she is in her groove, Evie shows her smarts. Evie will happily slide up next to you or even hop in your lap for a good long snuggle.
