We got word back in March 2021 that a new seafood restaurant, Crabulous Boil Seafood, would be setting up shop in Montclair. The eatery posted an Instagram picture in July 2020 stating that it was slated to open at the end of October 2020 at 379 Bloomfield Avenue. Unfortunately, due to pandemic delays, it has been TBD on an opening date as there haven’t been any additional posts on the official account regarding the opening – until we were told on December 20th that the restaurant is officially opening its doors. Read on for what we know about the new seafood restaurant now open in Montclair.
What We Know
Crabulous Boil Seafood is a Cajun and Creole restaurant. The Montclair seafood spot will serve everything from steamed oysters to fried calamari and lobster. Customers can expect other classic dishes like crawfish, king crab legs, green mussels, and more that are true to Cajun and Creole cooking.

The official Instagram account for the restaurant posted back in July, “The Juicy, Fancy, and worthy seafood restaurant will OPEN in New Jersey at the end of October. Stay tuned and follow us on Facebook and Instagram to get more updates.”

The Menu

According to the website, the menu will boast a variety of seafood eats, including an entire selection dedicated to boiled dishes. Patrons will have the opportunity to choose from boiled shrimp, clams, crawfish, king crab legs, lobster, mussels, calamari, scallops, squid, and more. It’s safe to say that there will be something for every type of seafood lover.

The best part about the dishes is that they seem to be served in true Cajun seafood fashion, seasoned to perfection, and served in a plastic bag for patrons to dig in and get messy.
The menu will also boast sandwiches and burgers like the pulled pork burger, fried chicken burger, and a lobster roll.

For those not wanting to get their hands dirty tearing apart crab legs, the restaurant will also have formal dishes to enjoy like lobster salad, clam chowder, duck salad, pasta, steak, and more.
