On Tuesday, July 14th, C’est la Bella, a vintage boutique in Morristown, New Jersey, was unfortunately victim to a burglary. Multiple thieves invaded the store and stole a large amount of merchandise during the day, including multiple high-end bags. The shop is currently closed to address the aftermath of the incident, but is set to return on Thursday, July 23rd, and in the meantime, there are many ways to support it. What to Know
C’est La Bella is a newer face to the New Jersey boutique scene, opening its doors in March 2026. It’s already become an MG favorite, known for its diverse selection of designer bags (think Chanel, Versace, Fendi, Gucci, etc.) and community shopping events. Some of the handbags even date back to the 1930s, and everything is in pristine condition, making it a spot to shop small + upscale at the same time.
The store was affected by a burglary on Tuesday, July 14th, where thieves raided the store during a flash sale day. It was reported that one woman stole two Chanel bags, while others took Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Celine bags near the store’s entrance. C’est La Bella’s owners believe that two women who visited the store a day before, wearing sunglasses and hats, were there to scope the place out and plan the burglary.
The shop is closed until Thursday, July 23rd as the team recovers from the aftermath of the event.

Chuck, the owner of C’est La Bella, recently spoke about the incident on Instagram. He has mentioned installing new security upgrades and rules, including no hats, sunglasses, or scarves allowed in the store. He insists that the best way to support the shop is to continue purchasing bags from the shop as it looks to push forward.
