It’s that time of year again — our third annual Best of Montclair 2023 Guide is back! Just like last year, it’s time to nominate your favorite local businesses, people, and places in Montclair and the greater Essex County area for an award. Submit as many nominations as you want from now until Tuesday, November 14th. As always, we have lots of categories for the Montclair area — ranging from the ‘Best Gift Shop’ to ‘Best Chicken Parm’ to ‘Best Cocktails’ and more. These reader-selected awards give businesses bragging rights for months (and sometimes years) to come. Let the nominations begin — scroll down to get started!

Rombough Architecture — owned by Courtney Rombough — is a Montclair architectural company that specializes in solutions for remodels and additions in old houses. Courtney has over 16 years of professional design experience working at award-winning firms, and is a New Jersey licensed architect as well as a Montclair native.
Kitchen Tune-Up, located at 1285 Broad Street in Bloomfield, is a woman-owned custom kitchen company with a team of experts that provides customers with a kitchen update that matches their desires. Kitchen Tune-Up recently opened its Bloomfield showroom and provides services like custom cabinets, cabinet redooring, cabinet refacing, cabinet painting, countertops, and kitchen backsplashes, and has an in-house installation team.
Readers can nominate any businesses, people, and places for each respective category from now through 11:59PM on Tuesday, November 14th. Once we count the votes, we’ll be announcing the top three finalists in each category. Then, from those top-tier choices, readers will vote again to select a winner.
Finalists will win a decal sticker to display on their storefronts as well as accolades on our website for all to see. View the 2022 winners here.

Here’s How to Nominate:
Nominate any business or person in any category you’d like, now through 11:59PM on Tuesday, November 14th. Readers can nominate businesses in one, a few, or all categories.
Directions:
- Scroll down below to enter your name + email. You will then be directed to a new page where you will see this year’s category dropdowns — everything from wellness to fitness to food to beauty and beyond.
- Fill out your favorite business for each category. You can nominate as many businesses in as many categories as you’d like — there is no limit, you just have to fill out the form for each business.
That’s it! We’ll do the tallying from there.
The official polls displaying the top three finalists in each category will be live in late-November — where you can vote again for the winner to take home the title! We’ll announce the winners in each category in mid-December.
